Time passes much more quickly in Rohandor and many long and happy years have gone by since the characters retired to enjoy their respective 'happily ever afters,' their greatest foes were imprisoned in the Forever Stone, bound in an eternal sleep. Until Now.
Happily Ever Afters takes place in Rohandor, a mystical realm on another plane of existence from our own. Here our favorite Disney heroes and villains live in a world all their own; Alive, but far from well. Heroes and heroines fight to keep peace while newly freed villains seek their revenge. There was one thing travelers always stressed about Zootopia: all animals there wore pants. Therefore, in preparing for his trip, Robin was sure to dress accordingly. Not many animals wore trousers in Nottingham and Robin himself rarely did, but he knew the value of a good disguise. He wanted to blend in and observe and so he had to look as though he belonged. In the end he’d chosen simple brown pants to go with his usual green tunic and feathered hat.
The trip had been relatively easy. A train station had materialized seemingly out of nowhere on the edge of Sherwood forest weeks ago. Robin had taken it through fields and towns, on and on, his clever eyes watching the staggering variety of animals board and disembark as they went about their business. Finally a voice announced that they were arriving and Robin watched out the window as the train brought him into a city unlike anything he had ever seen, even in his wildest dreams.
He had looked like a regular country bumpkin, standing there with his pack slung over his shoulder, mouth wide, gaping up at the buildings. It was incredible! Eventually awe gave way to excitement and Robin began to walk, eager to see all there was to see. Little John wasn’t going to believe a word of it.
After crossing a few streets, Robin came to a shop that sold fabric. He pushed the door open, thinking of his wife and the incredible gown she could make with fabric like this. While he browsed, lightly touching the silks with his clawed fingers, Robin noted how the Raccoon Salesclerk’s eyes tracked him. It was unnerving, and finally Robin approached the counter. “I will take a half dozen yards of the violet, please.” He gave the raccoon an easy smile and took three gold coins from the pouch in his pack.
The raccoon glared at the coins suspiciously. “What is this? Are you trying to cheat me, Fox?”
Robin tilted his head. Then he understood. He had not thought to exchange currency. They just use something besides gold crowns in Zootopia. He picked up the coins. “My apologies, friend. Is there a place I can exchange my coins for…?”
“Zootopian Dollars. Bank. Two blocks down.”
The Raccoon seemed eager to see Robin go. He shrugged and left, walking along in the direction the clerk had indicated. Now he began to take more stock in his surroundings. People watched him carefully. People clung more tightly to their purses and their bags.
Finally he came to the bank. Robin entered and walked up to an open teller. A female pig sat behind the desk. Robin took his bag of money from his pack and sat it on her counter. “Afternoon, Ma’am. I need to get these exchanged for Zootopian Dollars, please.”
The pig looked at the hand-sewn bag suspiciously, adjusted her spectacles, and pulled it closer. When she saw it was full of gold coins she couldn’t help but gasp. To Robin, she said “this will only take a moment,” and carried the bag off to show her supervisor. The large boar inspected the coins carefully, realized it was genuinely a small fortune in gold, and promptly pushed the panic button under his desk to signal the cops.
... because if a fox had that much gold, surely he must have stolen it.
Meanwhile, Robin watched them from where he stood. He was careful to seem at ease and patient, but he was a clever fox. He knew something wasn’t right. If he were still an outlaw, he would have listened to his instincts and ran. Now he was a lord, a nobleman, and the money he had with him was rightfully his. So… there was no reason to run… right?

Ever since the strange phenomenon that had pulled Zootopia into this ..... place, the ZPD had been getting a lot more calls than usual. Some of them were the typical "help I've fallen and I can't get up and also there are MONSTERS outside my window!" sort of calls, and others were genuinely more serious.
He and Judy did a lot of the grunt work, took a lot of the cases that were less than completely desirable, since they were both still the rookies (though he was rookie-r than she was; she had a high-profile solved case under her belt, after all) in the department. They'd been running their tails off (which wouldn't be quite as noticeable for Judy, but that was beside the point) for the past couple of weeks, but today seemed fairly quiet.
They'd just gotten back from a call, and Nick was planning to use the momentary respite (no doubt some old nag was going to call into the station with another false alarm that her sky was falling) to get caught up on some shudder paperwork. He.....tended to have a day where that was pretty much what he did; there were other, more important things.
Of course, whenever Judy found out that he'd slipped back into not doing his paperwork immediately, he'd get an earful, but for now, it was quiet, and he could get his work done.
Or so he'd thought. No sooner had he sat down to really tackle his files, a call came over the radio, requesting assistance at Savanna Central Bank, which wasn't very far from the station.
Without waiting to hear much of anything else, Nick replied, "Officers Hopps and Wilde are en route, ETA five minutes." Judy had been parking the car, last he'd seen her, and hopefully, she hadn't quite hopped out yet.
"Carrots!" he called when he reached the officers' lot. "C'mon, we've got a case."
