Participating Characters:Peter Pan , Hans Westergard Forum Location: Smaller Isles Time of Day: Early Afternoon Weather: Sunny Thread Location: Neverland Premise: Hans is looking for magic to help him take revenge on Anna and Elsa.
Prince Hans Westergard was on a ship, heading towards Neverland. He had heard that there was magic there, that was available for the taking, and magic was one of the things he needed to get his revenge. It wasn't the only thing, of course; he would still need to use his cunning, his intelligence, in order to get back at the sisters of Arendelle.
The kingdom was lost to him; there was likely no way to repair the goodwill of the people towards him, but Rohandor had widened the possibilities. There were so many more kingdoms out there; he was bound to find one that he could rule.
And if he didn't....., well, he'd cross that bridge if he came to it. He certainly didn't intend to, after all; he might only be the thirteenth son, but he was born to rule. He would make a good king, come hell or high water.
The ship neared the little harbour, and Hans made his way to the bow. The waters here were blue, bluer than any he'd seen before, and the island was beautiful. Maybe he'd rule this place, if it had any people. But it was too remote; there weren't cities that he could see, and he needed citizens in order to be a king.
It was only a few more minutes before the ship pulled into the little inlet, dropping anchor. Hans hoped very much that this wasn't a wasted trip; there had been too many of those, recently. But he made his way ashore, looking around the little island. There were other people on the boat, but he'd already discussed with the captain of the ferry when they were going to head back, which meant that he had plenty of time to go exploring on his own.
After several minutes of walking through the woods, he came out of the woods, into a little clearing, directly by another sort of inlet. A lagoon, he'd wager, if he had to put a name to it. And scattered around, lounging in the water and on the rocks......there were mermaids.
The mermaids of Neverland could swim anywhere in its waters, but they preferred this particular cove for its warm fresh-water falls that cascaded down from above. It also boasted many large rocks that were perfect for basking in the sun. For this reason, Peter Pan and the other residents of Neverland knew this place as Mermaid’s Lagoon.
There were five of them there today, two blondes, a red head, a brunette, and another with raven hair. All of them were quite beautiful, but the tragedy of that was they were all very aware of it. They were quite vain and each of them were always trying to out-do the next. Always they were combing their hair and adorning themselves with shells and flowers. Then they would look upon themselves in the still pools of water that gathered in the crevices of the rocks at certain times of day, when the tides would shift.
One of the blonde mermaids stretched her arms up under the water where she sat below the falls, letting it fall down her shoulders at her back. Her sister was lounging on a warm rock, her tail hanging into the water. The mermaid with black hair was braiding it with flowers. The brunette was dozing in the shade.
The mermaid with red hair was closest to where Hans emerged from the jungle, sitting on the very stone known as Marooner’s rock. Her back was to him as she watched the skies. She sighed, blowing her bangs from her eyes. Where was Peter? It had been far to long since his last visit. Oh, but what if he was with that Wendy-bird?
Perhaps Hans had made more noise than he’d intended, or perhaps she just felt his eyes on her, but she turned her head and looked over her shoulder. Her large blue eyes met his.
“Oh! A pirate!” She cried out and dove for the water. Instantly her sisters did the same, vanishing into the depths of the lagoon.

Hans was determined to find something useful on this island, even if he had to manufacture it somehow. At least the island was beautiful; they day wouldn't be a total loss if he couldn't find anything. But that was the worst case scenario, of course. From all of the stories he'd heard about this place, it had magic. And if it did, he was going to find it.
As soon as he emerged from the woods, the first thing he saw was the water of the lagoon, still that same, almost ethereal blue where the ship had anchored. But it did not take him long to notice the mermaids.
And it appeared that they had noticed him, too. The redhead was the one who was closest to him, and she turned to look over her shoulder. For a moment, the two of them locked eyes, each staring in bewilderment at the other. It only took a second, though, and before he knew what was happening, she'd shouted out a warning, yelling that he was a pirate even as she dove for the water.
"No, no, I'm not a pirate!" Hans called after them. Not in the traditional sense, anyway. "I'm just a traveler who needs help," he added, though at this point, he doubted they could hear him. Well, he was probably going to just have to keep exploring the island, without any sort of idea what he was looking for. Wonderful. This was the last time he started looking for something without any sort of a plan. He knew better than to do that, but he'd let his desperation get the better of him.
One by one the mermaids resurfaced behind different boulders in the water. A blonde peeked around the edge, watching as Hans looked at the water with a look that she took for disappointment. She furrowed her brow and turned accusingly to her red-haired sister beside her. “That’s no pirate!”
The mermaid with black hair gave a wistful sigh. “He’s far too handsome to be a pirate.” The other blonde giggled, obviously agreeing.
“Maybe he’s a marooned sailer.” The brunette was already running her fingers through her hair, trying to tame it back into place after diving into the water.
The first blonde glared at all of them. There had never been a true sailor in their grotto. Only nasty pirates with leering eyes. Before she could make up her mind about what the man could be if he wasn’t a pirate, her sisters all dove under and swam toward him.
One by one four beautiful mermaids surfaced, their heads and shoulders sticking out of the water a few feet from the rock overhang Hans stood on. The blonde giggled again, covering her mouth coyly with her hand. The red-head looked him over as if she still wasn’t convinced he wasn’t a pirate. The mermaid with black hair batted her lashes at Hans. “That was very rude… sneaking up on us like that.”
The brunette pulled her hair together and around to one shoulder, twisting it together in a seemingly lazy way, but mostly doing it to show off her neck and shoulders, which she was quite vain about.
