The man called Macbeth, King of Scotland in the 1000s, medieval scholar called Lennox Macduff, immortal human paced through the mansion (not the one that had burned down) that he had in New York, debating some of the many issues that Rohandor faced, now that the Forever Stone had been breached.
One of the things that it meant was that creatures like Thailog could have been released. Macbeth knew that Demona hadn't been trapped in the Stone, so the fact that she was still free hadn't changed.
He honestly wasn't sure what he would do, the next time he saw her. When she had tricked him, made him fall in love with her as Dominique Destine (fall in love with her again, he might add), he had realized that there were things in this life still worth living for, and love was one of them. He just needed to find someone who wasn't Demona.
But at the same time, what was the point of falling in love again? Even if he did manage to find someone who could love him, she would die eventually. And then he would be left alone. Again.
At the moment, though, there were far more important things to consider.
Like who had just entered his mansion.
"I should have known that you'd show up," he said to the doorway, not moving from his armchair before the fire.
{{OOC: I figure that this would probably be for someone with whom Macbeth has interacted before, because of the "reunions" part of the title, but it doesn't have to be!}}
For a long beat, there was silence other than the crackling of the fire. And then one of the shadows by the doorway shifted, proving itself never to have been a shadow in the first place. Instead, the silhouette of a woman clad from head to toe in close-fitted black stepped more clearly into the light. A hand reached up, fingers wrapping around the edge of the mask and then it was gone, freeing a cascade of auburn hair to fall over her shoulders and back. The woman tossed her head in a practiced motion, flicking her mane back into place, running the fingers of one hand through it as she did, and gave the man known as Lennox Macduff a smirk entirely without the slightest hint of apology.
”It seems you do live up to your reputation,” drawled Fox, ”Macbeth.”
The red-haired woman did not bother to wait for an invitation before she strode over to the fire, settling herself on the arm of the other chair with one leg idly crossed over the other. Nothing about her posture indicated she felt at all worried, despite the fact that she had just broken into the home of one of the most dangerous men alive. Of course, if she had a thousand years’ worth of experience to her name, Fox would bet she could defeat Macbeth. And she knew that her husband was perfectly capable of outthinking the man if it came to that. As it was, however, she had absolutely no reason to deliberately antagonise him – not when she was here to make him an offer.
”I hope you don’t mind me letting myself in but I have an aversion to front doors.” The smirk still lingered on her lips as she watched him.
And that was true so far as it went. Knocking on the front door and waiting was not her style if it could be avoided and, in this case, she had good reason to indulge her longing for a little excitement. Being Halcyon Renard’s daughter and David Xanatos’ wife brought with it a degree of notoriety in the media, to say nothing of her time as leader of the Pack. Waltzing up to Macbeth’s door would certainly be noticed, no matter the time, and people would find out. When she was planning to present David with a fait accompli, it would be beyond stupid to let him find out in the morning paper’s gossip column.
She was slightly curious about what he meant, but then he could quite easily have been expecting someone else. It went without saying that Fox had no intention of letting her guard down.

Macbeth looked up, directly at the shadow that wasn't before it detached itself from the wall to approach the little space of light before the fire. He knew even before the woman took off her mask that it was the woman called Fox, daughter to Halcyon Reynard and wife to David Xanatos.
He hadn't been entirely certain when or just which of them would show up, but he had been correct to expect them.
"After 1,000 years, a reputation doesn't necessarily mean much," he said, almost idly, staring into the fire. "I could just as easily live up to the reputation that Shakespeare fashioned for me with his amusing play." It was very wrong, of course, but it had been entertaining all the same.
At Fox’s comment about front doors, a smirk of his own slipped onto Macbeth’s face as he surveyed the woman opposite him, measuring her with his eyes.
She had a reputation of her own, of course, and he certainly wouldn't underestimate her, if it came to blows. But the fact of the matter remained that he had more than 1,000 years of experience to her relative youth.
"I would have expected nothing less," he told her, a touch of humor in his tone. He would have been quite surprised, had either Fox or her husband simply chosen to knock on the door.
Steepling his fingers together in front of him, Macbeth looked up from his contemplation of the crackling fire.
"I could guess, but I’m sure you’d much rather tell me in your own words. Which leaves me to ask the question, why are you here?"
David Xanatos: Kat's back. Hope the vacation was fun.
