Coldstone sighed as he walked out of the cave he had been using since arriving in Arendelle, his sensors activating and scaning the area as he stood out on a rocky out cropping looking down at the kingdom. The half gargolye cyborg cracked his neck and streched his arms while he felt the cool autumn air on his skin. Looking down, Coldstone smiled at the setting sun, and then nodded approvingly as he tukced his cloak under his arm and spread his metal wings. Lepaing down off the rocky ledge, Coldstone glided down over the forest and headed for Arendelle as he silently landed just outside the city.
Folding his wings around his chest and then wrapping his tail aorund his waist, Coldstone put on his cloak and pulle dup the hood to cover most of his face and his cybernetic enhancments. Making sure that he was all covered, he walked out into the opening and entered the city. As he did, he could see that the town's people were making preparations to celebrate thier fall festival, and the scent of a grand harvest, leaves, and spices filled the air, causing a grand mixture to enter his nostrils. As he walked through the town, people smiled or nodded to him as he went about. Rare he thought for a Gargoyle such as he to be wlecomed, but truth be told his true nature had not yet been revealed to the people of this land yet.
However when he saved a man from being crushed beneath a carriage the day he arrived, word spread quickly of a kind and gentle giant that used his strenght for good. As such he was all but welcomed like a native now and it made his task of searching for Coldsteel much easier. As he passed various vendors setting up in the city sqaure, one of which stepped out and held a mug out to him of sorts. "A free sample sir? he asked. Coldstone took the mug and sniffed it's contents, snoticing a mix of apple and sugar with what seemed like warm steam coming off of it.
"What is it?" Coldstone asked as he sniffed the mug again. "Hot apple cider sir. It's popular this time of year" the vendor said with a smile. Coldstone sipped from the mug slowly and nodded to the sweet and warm taste that greated his taste buds. He nodded in thanks to the vendor before going over to an enmpy bench in the sqaure and sat down watching the people set up for the festival. Coldstone actually enjoyed the serene moment and it made him even more detirmined to find his ancient enemy and put an end to him once and for all. He sat back and sipped his drink, enjoying the warm feeling of the liquid going down his throat and cool sea breeze on his exposed skin and white hair.

Macbeth, known to much of the rest of the world as Lennox Macduff, had heard about the new kingdom of Arendelle, the way that he was sure the rest of Rohandor had. It was said that this new kingdom was much like the Norway he remembered from his visits over the years. Arendelle, too, was a monarchy, ruled over by Queen Elsa. Of course, he'd heard some of the other stories, too, about the young queen.
As a man who had lived through many centuries, Macbeth was quite fond oflearning. He'd put much time, over the years, into his studies, and one of his areas of expertise and interest happened to be magic. Throughout his years of study, he'd only come across a few stories of people with power like Elsa's, which meant that he was rather curious about the young woman.
And that was shy, in addition to the fact that he thought the hand of another monarch, extended in friendship might be heartening, he was headed to Arendelle. Plus, he'd been in one place for quite a while; part of him felt the need to see new places. If he was going to enjoy this life of his, rather than seeking to end it through Demona, he needed to broaden his horizons. And in Rohandor, that was more than possible; it was easy.
He, too, had been in Arendelle when the rumors of a strange, gentle, giant of a man who was never seen without a cloak, a man who had, like Jean Valjean, helped to save someone from being crushed by his own cart had started. Of course, in this strange, new world, there were plenty who might fit the bill, but Macbeth had decided to investigate. After asking a few people about the mysterious stranger, Macbeth came across a vendor selling hot apple cider.
"Oh, yes, I gave him a mug of my cider not five minutes ago," the man said with a smile. "He's right over there, sir."
"Thank you," Macbeth told the man after confirming where he'd been indicating. Before he headed off to find out who the stranger might be, he gave the man selling cider a few coins in thanks. Even as the man was smiling at him and telling him it was unnecessary, Macbeth waved off his thanks, heading instead towards the figure that sat, or fairly loomed, on a nearby bench.
While the cloak might keep most prying eyes away, Macbeth knew that form. He was familiar with the silhouette beneath the cloak, the mismatched eyes. He'd found Coldstone, without looking for him.
"You're a long way from home," he observed, stopping a few feet from the cloak-wrapped form. "And what brings you so far from your clan?" For, strange hybrid he might be, Coldstone was still part of Goliath's clan.
Coldstone finished the last sip of the sweet drink called cider, when suddenly he heard a voice behind him....a voice he recognized. Turning around with his eyes furrowed in an angry glare, Coldstone looked directly at Macbeth, and thier last meeting which had not been a pleasent one flashed in his mind. Standing up from the bench, Coldstone pointed at the old warrior and in an angry voice said, "You"" He gripped the glass in his hand tightly and hard enough that it shattered in his hand and he approached Macbeth with an angry growl coming from his mouth.
However Coldstone suddenly remembered where he was and seeing the people around him casued him to retract his anger abit, but he still cast Macbeth with a look of suspicion as he walked up to him. "You do realize were we alone I would be having very harsh words with you old man. Be thankful these people put me in a neutral mood and that I wish not to draw attention to myself" he said with a growl and a glow in his cybernetic eye.
"Now I could be asking you the same question, but if you must know I am here on personal reasons. An old threat has reawakened, one that I seek to end once and for all" Coldstone explained as he looked up into the sky for a quick moment as if scouting for enemies.

Though Coldstone could recall the last time he and Macbeth had met, the immortal human could not. He had been under the control of the Weird Sisters, at the time, and had had any memory of the incident erased. Macbeth had recognized Coldstone from the research he'd done into Goliath's clan, coupled with what he'd found of the times Demona and Xanatos had chosen to work together.
Apparently, Coldstone thought they'd met before. Hmm, interesting. Macbeth knew he didn't remember things from when he'd been under the control of the Weird Sisters (which Goliath had told him about), but it appeared that Coldstone knew him, probably from that time.
"I don't know what I might have done to you when my mind was not my own," he started, coming around to face the cybernetic hybrid Gargoyle, "but if I caused you harm, I am sorry." He preferred to make apologize for things he remembered doing, but if the Weird Sisters had used him to harm this creature, then he certainly owed Coldstone an apology.
He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the other's words. Coldstone didn't wish to draw attention to himself? It would be rather hard for him not to call attention to himself, with his size and ... unique silhouette.
Macbeth held up his hands as Coldstone approached him. "I wish you no harm, Coldstone," he said, keeping his ground even as the once-Gargoyle approached him. "I have come to Arendelle out of a sense of curiosity, nothing more." He spared a glance around the place when he noticed Coldstone's gaze moving towards the skies. "But perhaps I could be of assistance in your quest," he added, thinking on his feet. If he could help Coldstone, perhaps the other would return to the Manhattan clan. And that would make the Gargoyles his allies once more.
Coldstone fixed Macbeth with a stare, not one of bitterness or anger, but rather one of curiosity. Indeed there was sincereity in Macbeth's voice, and certainly Coldstone himself could attest to not being incontrol of his own actions. This caused Coldstone to feel a pang of sympathy for the old warrior and he sighed for a moment as he looked down at him and said, "If you are sincere, then I accept your apology. But I hope you will understand if I do not trust you right away."
When Macbeth offered his services, Coldstone was even more stunned as it no doubt showed in his features. He scracthed his chin for a moment and thought about the offer and founhd it tempting. His opinion of the old man aside, there was no doubt that Macbeth had more understanding of technology and what made his enemy more then Coldstone himself. Age aside, Macbeth was both a gifted and adaptabile warrior who could change his fighting style to suit the situation. nodding his head, Coldstone looked down at Macbeth and said, "Very well, I accept your aid as pennance for the past. Help me and all will be forgievn completely....but betray me and not even the spirits themselves will save you from my vengence."
Coldstone then sat back down on the bench and thoguht about how to phrase his words to Macbeth. "I am looking for an old enemy. He has tormented me and my beloved for ages.....I thoguht we were free of him, but have learned he still exists and is a greter threat then ever. Like me he was a Gargoyle at first named Iago....but has become like me" Coldstone explained while motioning to his cybernetic arm. "However Iago is more machine then even I am, manipulative, dangerous, and deadly he has taken the name Coldsteel. It is he I seek and he who I wish to destroy to put an end to him once and for all" Coldstone said while punching his first into his metal palm.
As he looked over, Coldsotne saw a nearby band playing a tune in the village sqaure,a nd soon men, women, and children were dancing happily to the music as the Harvest festival began. He smiled a bit and without looking at macbeth said, "Macbeth.....these are good people here just tyring to live there lives. I know only what I have heard of thier Queen, but she has brought them happiness and prosperity. Let us try and not egt them involved in our search. Fair?" he asked a she looked back at Macbeth.

The former High King of Scotland nodded at Coldstone's words. "If I were to betray you, friend, you would be hard-pressed to truly kill me," he said softly, thinking about the long life he'd lived and the life he still had ahead of him. "But I am a man of honor: once I give my word, I do not break it." Unless extremely dire circumstances presented themselves, but he didn't see that sort of thing happening, now. His wife and son had been dead for hundreds of years; there was no reason for him to betray an ally.
He understood Coldstone's point, though, and were he a normal human, he would have taken it to heart. He did take it to heart, even if Coldstone couldn't kill him permanently. The Gargoyle (despite his technologic parts, he was still a Gargoyle) was now his ally, and Macbeth respected him enough to keep his word.
At Coldstone's words about the people of this place, Macbeth looked around, his gaze softening as it rested upon the families that were celebrating in the square. They were much like his own people had been, the citizens of this new place, and he would leave them alone if he could.
"I will do everything in my power to see that the people of Arendelle are not disturbed or involved in our quest for Coldsteel," he vowed, placing his fist upon his chest. It was the way of his people, to show that they were sincere in their words, and he would uphold his promise.
Now that the formalities of their alliance had been taken care of, it was time to turn to the matter at hand. "Do you have any leads on this Coldsteel, or are we starting from nothing?"
Coldstone nodded aprovingly at Macbeth and then looked up to the sky as the sun began to set over the fjord. "I came to this land becasue I heard rumors of a demon of steel shooting acorss the sky in this direction by sailors. Mind you this could have just been the result of paranoia or even rum....but I had to go on any lead I could gather" Coldstone explained as he looked back down towards Macbeth.
Shaking his head dishearteningly he reached into the pocket of his cloak and said, "Unfortunately my investigation has yeilded little results, but I did learn of something that might be of help." Coldstone then pulled out a small piece of crummpled paper and opened it. He handed the paper to Macbeth and on it was the image of a strange creature with a body of stone and moss on it's body. "They call them trolls in this land and they are said to be the keepers of great knolwedge and magic. I figured if I can find them then that will allow me to at least be pointed int he right direction do thier ability to see the future" he said as he looked back at the castle.
"That unfortunately is my problem, I know not where these creatures dwell, but I hear the palace of Queen Elsa holds these knowledge in the royal archieves. As you can imagine, one such as myself can't just walk up to the guards and ask permission to view thier kingdom's most well kept secrets" Coldstone said with a little humor in his voice.

Macbeth listened to the Gargoyle's words, frowning as he considered them. The sun was setting, which meant that flesh-and-blood Gargoyles would soon be awakening. Did Coldsteel still operate on the same schedule as he would have, when he'd been alive? Or had he broken with the bonds of his former self, embracing the metal that his soul now inhabited?
He was about to speak up, to suggest that perhaps their first course of action would be to observe the skies, see if they could see any signs of what the sailors were talking about, to see if it truly was anything to be concerned about or if it was, as Coldstone had suggested, merely the result of too much rum and superstition.
As he was about to speak, Coldstone handed him a piece of paper, with a drawing of what appeared to be a rock. A rock that had features, limbs, and hair. Macbeth raised an eyebrow ever-so-slightly at the paper, until Coldstone answered his unspoken question. Trolls. They were going to seek out trolls.
It certainly wasn't the most far-fetched thing they could do; there were, after all, many legends of supernatural creatures in their own homeland of Scotland, and it stood to reason that legends from another isle would have different information to share.
"Perhaps I can be of assistance in that area," Macbeth offered. "But I suggest that, instead of asking to view their archives, I will talk to the royal family." He was trying to establish relations with other royals of the realm, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to further both his and Coldstone's ends.
